Together with CUR and the Royal Institute of Engineers, GeoDelft launched in 1999 the national geotechnical platform www.geonet.nl as a central knowledge exchange facility for all Dutch geotechnicians. GeoDelft is initiator of ELGIP, the European Large Geotechnical Institutes Platform, established in 2002 with the aim to provide a common platform for the geotechnical profession within the European Research Area, with a long term commitment, bridging the gap between the research community and the construction sector.
